Pérez Salazar

With an innovative vision that intertwines Law and Economics, Adrián stands out in arbitration and international litigation, bringing a fresh and strategic perspective forged at Harvard Law School and tested in scenarios of high legal complexity.
Adrian obtained a B.A in International Political Economy and in Philosophy at Beloit College (Wisconsin, USA). Subsequently, he obtained a law degree (J.D equivalent) from the Carlos III University of Madrid and another from Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo (Ecuador). He is currently in the United States pursuing an LL.M at Harvard Law School, with an emphasis on arbitration, American commercial law, and Law & Economics. He specializes in international litigation and arbitration, as well as areas that are at the intersection between law and economics, such as antitrust and corporate law.

He has participated in Human Rights defense projects with the Vance Center for International Justice (New York, USA) in 2013, and was part of the department of labor law at Baker & McKenzie (Madrid, Spain) in 2016. He has taught political philosophy workshops at the ECOTEC University.

Arbitration and Litigation

Participated in the legal team in various complex international litigations related to public contracting against CNT.
Was part of the legal team in investment arbitration against the Ecuadorian State.
Collaborated in drafting expert reports for investment arbitration against the Ecuadorian State.
Acted as an Ecuadorian advisor in international collective litigations involving Ecuadorian plaintiffs.
Worked as an external advisor in various national litigations.
Participated in disputes against the GAD of Esmeraldas.
Assisted in freedom of expression matters for a renowned national newspaper.
Was part of the legal team in administrative litigations related to pharmaceutical companies.
Contributed to expert reports for international investment arbitrations.

Served as an advisor in Ecuador on matters related to competition law.

Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions

Aided in the acquisition of assets located in Ecuador by international companies.
Acted as an advisor on regulatory and environmental matters for an Ecuadorian subsidiary of an international company.
